I think they work better separately, this seems a bit messy.

Here’s the mask. I treated it in the same way I did the exhibits in my museum drawings but this time the difference in medium can express the difference in identity. The colours reflect those used in the original comics.

So being stunned by the brilliance of The Dark Knight Rises a few weeks ago I decided to make a piece of work to show my gratitude to Christopher Nolan. I chose to address the theme of anonymity the film carries (just as any other superhero film does), by drawing the only visible parts of Bruce Wayne as the Bat and leaving the negative space to fill in the rest.

Butttt the temptation to draw his mask is too strong, so I’m probably gunna go do that now.
