I finished this one this afternoon, it’s going to be really difficult to get a good copy of this so for now here’s a tacky little instagram photo from the studio.

In contrast, here I have treated each person separately, drawn them individually with different grade pencils to stress their individuality. I am continuing with this technique at the moment with another piece that I might show at the degree show in June at WSA.

These spectators were at Newbury skatepark opening jam last summer.

On the steps outside the National Portrait Gallery.

The next few drawings are of blurry crowds, I sought blurring from photography as an aid to remove the identities of the people in the crowd. This technique seems more natural to me than creating block silhouettes and shows a sort of respect to photography.

These cool kids were in Pick Me Up at Somerset House.

I like the perspective of this one.

These guys were out the front of the British Museum.

I went to see The Rifles at the Old Fire Station in Bournemouth in March, here they are as little red blobs. I have been trying to introduce colour to my work for a while but I find it really bloody difficult.
